Designing an internal tool around real work
Centralizing production management in a shared environment connected through APIs and MCP, with supervised AI supporting the work without removing the approvals that require professional judgment.

Designing an internal tool around real work
Context
Orders, production stages and capacity planning span several roles. Day-to-day information needs to remain available, reliable and easy to understand.
Need
Reduce duplicate entry and lost information without automating away the controls that matter to manufacturing quality.
My role
I studied the workflows, formalized the processes, designed the interfaces and led the evolution of an intranet connected to tools and services through APIs and MCP. AI supports selected tasks and remains supervised.
Work completed
- Mapping workflows, roles and friction points
- Designing screens, indicators and approval rules
- Connecting data and services through APIs and MCP
- Targeted automation and supervised AI assistance
People and disciplines coordinated
- Administration, sales and planning
- Workshop, production leads and development
Deliverables
- Internal business application
- Production dashboards
- API and MCP connectors
- Approval rules and user documentation
Observable outcome
The tool is in service to centralize tracking, make production capacity visible and improve continuity between teams. Its architecture allows new services to be connected progressively without making daily work more complex.
